- deal description:
Unigrains and BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments have acquired 100% of L’Albero del Pane S.r.l. and its subsidiary Tedesco S.r.l.
L’Albero del Pane is one of the main players in the sector of the production and distribution of sweet and savoury baked goods, specializing in biscuits, croissants, fresh pastries, seasonal baked goods and bread substitutes. Since its founding in 1979 by the Tedesco family, l'Albero del Pane has adopted a strategy based on product research and innovation. Through targeted investments in machinery and human capital, the company has progressively extended its range of available products.
With its three production plants (spanning a total area of approximately 40,000 sqm) and a workforce of around 230 employees, l’Albero del Pane and its subsidiary Tedesco Srl registered a total turnover of approximately €63 million in 2024. Roughly 45% of this revenue was generated through its own brands, and the company exported approximately 30% of the total revenue to over 70 countries. Its main commercial brands include Ore Liete, GranArt, and Piselli.
The transaction enables L’Albero del Pane to explore new growth opportunities, including potential acquisitions, positioning the company as a consolidator in a dynamic yet still fragmented market. The strategy will leverage its unique expertise in production and sourcing, as well as its solid sales network in both domestic and international markets. This is further strengthened by a broad and diversified portfolio of sweet and savoury bakery products, including biscuits, croissants, fresh pastries, and bread substitutes.
Vitale acted as financial advisor to the sellers, offering support in the structuring of the transaction, in the negotiation phases and in the coordination of due diligence activities.
