Vitale assisted the Castiglioni family in the sale of Betoncablo S.p.A. (“Betoncablo”) and STV Castiglioni S.r.l. (“STV”) to Gridcore S.p.A. (“Gridcore”), an industrial platform promoted by Xenon and established in March 2025, aimed at creating one of the main Italian operators in the construction, maintenance, and enhancement of the country's strategic networks, primarily the electrical grid.

Betoncablo, headquartered in Busto Arsizio (VA), is one of the leading Italian companies active in the installation and maintenance of medium-low voltage electrical networks and also designs and manufactures secondary transformation substations, which are essential infrastructure for modernizing the national electrical grid and responding to the growing demand related to the energy transition.

Along with Betoncablo, the Castiglioni family also sold STV, a company with complementary activities such as the production of structural elements for civil works, bridges, viaducts, highways, and other critical infrastructures. The transaction allows GridCore to further increase its presence in the medium-low voltage electrical networks sector, improving the group’s territorial coverage and extending the range of services offered to secondary substations. It also allows the integration of necessary construction work into electrical contracts for the complete execution of projects, a strategic element in a market characterized by long-term contracts, high value, and increasing complexity.

The Castiglioni family will reinvest a portion of the proceeds from the transaction into the group alongside Xenon, the Ghilardelli family, and the Bortolami family, in order to further boost the growth of GridCore.
