    Nestlé has sold Beltè, the brand owned by the San Pellegrino Group and leader in Italy in the commercialization of tea-based drinks, to Refresco Italia, a company of the Dutch group Refresco and among the main beverage producers in Italy.

    Beltè is an iced tea brand which offers a range of traditional teas, with lemon and peach infusions, green tea, black tea with red fruits and organic tea. This transaction is part of the strategic path to optimize Sanpellegrino’s brand portfolio.

    Refresco Italia was created in 2011 from the acquisition of Spumador, a historic Italian company in the beverage sector, by the Refresco Group. Refresco boasts a leadership in the production of private labels and a product portfolio that includes mineral waters, sparkling and tea-based drinks, sports drinks and fruit juices. Its client portfolio includes major national and international retailers and large branded companies.

    Nestlé has been advised by Vitale&Co as financial advisor, in defining the structure and conditions of the transaction, in managing the due diligence activities and in carrying out negotiations with the counterparty, and by Simmons&Simmons for the the legal aspects. Refresco managed the transaction using an internal team of legal advisors.
