Fremman Capital (“Fremman”), a pan-European mid-market investment firm, has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Proteko (“Proteko” or the “Group”) from Finint Investments (“Finint”) and management.
Fremman will partner with Proteko’s founders, Francesco Scelsi and Antonio Mendo, who will remain significant shareholders and continue to lead the business.Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Vicenza, Proteko supports over 9,000 customers across a broad range of industries, providing mission-critical workplace safety and compliance services.
Underpinned by its proprietary Pro_Safety digital platform, the company's offering spans fire safety, machine compliance, consulting and training, and occupational health, helping customers meet mandatory regulatory requirements and maintain safe, compliant and productive working environments.Proteko operates in a resilient market characterised by recurring, non-discretionary demand driven by regulation. The business has developed a differentiated position through its strong technical expertise, technology-enabled service model and its footprint across Northern and Central Italy. Since 2019, Proteko has combined strong organic growth with the successful completion and integration of ten acquisitions, creating a scalable platform with significant opportunities for further consolidation in a highly fragmented market.
Together with the founders and management team, Fremman will support Proteko's next phase of growth by continuing to invest in its people, technology and operational capabilities, while accelerating its M&A strategy.
