    City Green Light has signed an agreement with a pool of financial institutions for a loan of 197 million Euros aimed at supporting the Company’s growth plan. The loan is aimed at supporting investments to consolidate its leadership in the public lighting sector and to grow in complementary businesses, also through M&A transactions.

    The pool of financial institutions is composed of Intesa Sanpaolo, through the division IMI Corporate & Investment Banking as Lender Coordinator, Bookrunner, Mandated Lead Arranger, Agent and Sace Agent, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, UniCredit, BNL BNP Paribas and Sparkasse - Cassa di Risparmio di Bolzano as Bookrunners and Mandated Lead Arrangers.

    City Green Light, established in 2017 and participated by Fondo Italiano per l’Efficienza Energetica, Marguerite Infrastructure Italy II and Banca Europea degli Investimenti (through Ipin 2E), is the leading player in the public lighting industry serving more than 250 municipalities throughout Italy boasting strong experience in managing more than 900,000 lighting points, 100 tunnels and 1,600 security cameras.

    The loan, with a duration of ca. 7 years, will benefit from SACE’s Green guarantee of 96 million Euros. The allocated resources will be mainly aimed at the implementation of investments functional to the energy transition and digitalization of public administrations, promoting integrated energy efficiency solutions in key sectors, including public lighting, public building management, and energy communities.

    Vitale acted as financial advisor, assisting City Green Light in the definition of the structure, terms and conditions of the transaction and in the negotiations of the agreements with the pool of financial institutions.
