In the context of a composition with creditors Sacci S.p.A. has sold its cement and concrete business to Cementir group for a total value of 125 million Euro.

The payment made by Cementir was equal to 122.5 million Euro while the residual 2.5 million Euro will be paid as deferred component after 24 months from the date of the transaction.

With this operation Cementir group – listed on the Italian Stock Exchange since 1955 and present in 16 countries and 5 continents – doubles in Italy its production capacity, its commercial strength and its distribution network. To the industrial perimeter in fact shall be added 5 productive cement plants, 3 distribution terminals and 28 concrete stations: the production capacity installed in Italy will be of 6.8 million tonnes per year, with a presence in the territory which goes from 6 to 11 regions.
